Aaron Chase

"The forest out here in British Columbia is magical," said Chase. "The trees are huge, the trails are steep, and you’re doing whatever it takes to keep your tires on."

The ride begins on a steep mossy rock-roll worthy of any Coast Mountain edit, but then things quickly step up a notch. With freeride icon Brett Tippie along to stoke the session, Chase’s legendary riding skills are showcased hitting up a precise, high-consequence log-ride-to-drop built and pioneered by Darren Berrecloth.

To finish, Chase and eventually Tippie send a ridiculous gap jump over a creek. “The consequences are super high," said Chase of the trail's most robust feature. "You’re field-goaling between two trees and there’s a pretty ninja pump track to get into it.”

76 foot drop

When Graham Agassiz and Andreu Lacondeguy began building a lip-heavy line at Red Bull Rampage with heavy drops on each end, the rest of the field wondered how they would pull it off. Yesterday, they answered part of the question by sending a gigantic step-down, and they did it by pushing each other out of their comfort zones — watch it happen in the video after the jump>>>

T Mac

Tyler McCaul’s Rampage POV
Another Pants-Shitting POV

I am going to rant about this when I get the time. Just like I did for Kelly McGarry. Whats with keeping all the Mcs and Macs down at Rampage?

Kelly McGarry

Kelly McGarry on the Rampage course with a helmet cam.  Kelly was robbed of first, all I have to say is THREE backflips! Whats harder flipping a jump or a step down? exactly.

There is no way Kyle Strait should have won except he hit the Oakley Icon sender (lets face it sponsors decide who win). Tyler MacCaul should easily have placed second as his drop was dirt to dirt and easily as big as the Icon sender(except no sponsors name was attached). Cam Zink can sukit! His line was comparatively snoresville. The line through the top section was weak, he did a big backflip then quit on the lower section. Boo!

Anthony Messere is awesome. He took home third place at Redbull Joyride slopestyle competition at Kokanee Crankworx Saturday night. From everyone here: Congratulations Anthony! Stellar riding!

Without a doubt; if Anthony had stayed up on his final run, he would have taken home the Gold.
